A field-based company, not a marketing one

Les Collines Khao Yai is not a generalist tour operator that subcontracts its activities. It is an eco-lodge in the national park buffer zone and a TAT-licensed travel agency, under the same management since 2005, in Pak Chong. The team designs and runs every trek itself, with DNP-accredited field guides employed year-round.

The result: exclusively private treks (your group, no other participants), a pace set by the wildlife rather than commercial pressure, and honesty about what the jungle can, or cannot, offer.

The team

Cédric Juilla: naturalist, tour leader and co-director

Born 1 May 1976. A versatile background: former pharmacy technician, emergency ambulance paramedic (Ambulances Urgence 33, Bordeaux), operating theatre coordinator (Clinique Tourny, Bordeaux), care assistant in rehabilitation (La Tour de Gassies) and in a care home. Based in Thailand since 2005, he also built self-taught expertise in web development, SEO and applied AI. He provides French-speaking leadership on every stay, alongside the accredited field guides. Speaks French, English and operational Thai.

Also known as Cédric Khao Yai and Cédric Les Collines.

The field guide team

Treks are led by a team of guides employed year-round, all DNP-accredited with a named mission order: Whisky (Prawit), Rung, Noey and Tom, trained in the field in Khao Yai, working alongside Cédric for several years.

Potjana Juilla: operations director

Cédric Juilla's wife and co-founder of Concept Pikana Part Ltd (maiden name Kolaka). A Political Science graduate (Thammasat University) with an advanced French language diploma, Potjana runs all operations: bookings, logistics, labour law and client relations. She keeps the agency running with rigour while the team is on the trails.

Nuj: head chef

In charge of the eco-lodge kitchen, Nuj cooks every home-made meal served to guests during their stay. Authentic Thai cuisine, home-made pastries at breakfast. Her Thai cooking class is included in the Safari Premium package.

Packages range from a discovery day to multi-day eco-lodge stays, with early-morning treks, twilight safaris, wildlife observation and immersion in the dynamics of the Khao Yai ecosystem.

All wildlife observed is entirely wild. Encounters depend on the season, the day's conditions and chance. That is precisely what makes the experience authentic.
